Leukemia is cancer that forms in the blood or blood-forming cells. Bone cancers are malignant growths that develop in the bones and are less common than benign bone tumors. Common leukemias include acute lymphocytic leukemia and acute myeloid leukemia. Multiple myeloma affects the bone marrow's plasma cells. Some blood cancers may be treated with bone marrow transplant.
